11/26/07 - Raytheon Gets $160 Million Air Force Pact For GPS Control Segment

Raytheon Co. (RTN) has received a $160 million, 18-month contract from the U.S. Air Force Space and Missile Systems Center to develop a system design for the next-generation global positioning system control segment.

The aerospace and defense company said the systems will include anti-jam capabilities, improved system security, accuracy and reliability and will be based on a modern service-oriented architecture to integrate government and industry open system standards.

Raytheon posted 2006 revenue of about $20.3 billion.
